i'm no strategic policy expert... but aussie going from building and maintaining its own fleet of excellent submarines to begging america for second hand rent a subs that we dont know how to use let alone fix seems like a bit of a backward step for the national interest... no?
ya ya china scary, reds under the bed bla bla... just a little sceptical that dismantling or own independent industry and foreign policy is meant to save us from that
