I'm sure someone has written about #humor in #fascism before--i.e., about how there is none. This stood out to me and others as soon as Trump and his many, many lackeys appeared on the political scene in 2014 or so. The trolls and their perennial "can't you take a joke?" seemed to highlight that none of them could take or even make jokes.
The fascists try to make jokes from time to time, but they are either (a) very, very stupid and bad or (b) "ha ha you got hurt."
The closest anyone on the far right has been to jokes was the comedian at the RNC last summer. His jokes at least followed the structure, at least had the form of jokes. Their humor was ruined by the fact that they all punched down at suffering, vulnerable people, unfortunately.
I think real humor involves vulnerability. Fascism requires constant displays of dominance. Admitting any kind of weakness threatens it deeply, so fascists can't tell #jokes
