@SheDrivesMobility In this town, we've had the speed limit reduced to 30 for over a year now. Everyone respects it, except for two types of folk: those just driving through, because they live the next town over, and those living here all their lives. The latter argue it's always been 50, so why should they change?
I hate this place sometimes.
@jens @SheDrivesMobility I just had a good / terrible idea. Tie road surface maintenance to speed limit compliance. Put speed recorders all over town, but without license plate readers. Put up digital signs showing speed limit adherence for the past month, with a message like "Sick of the pot holes? So are we. Once 90% of us follow the speed limit for a month, we'll start fixing them."
