This is how much dirt was left on my trash container after the snow melted yesterday. This is some of the dirt and dust that was lofted into the air by dust storms in New Mexico and Texas. Strong winds transported it to other states where it came down with rain and snow.

I'm familiar with drought and the U.S. Drought Monitor. In fact, I post the USDM most Thursdays when the new drought map comes out, except that I post it from my work/professional account.
