Last night's 'interaction' in the Giant parking lot stuck with me. It's not because it scared me (please, I"m used to it by now), but it frustrates me more than anything. How can people be so ignorant? I just cannot wrap my head around it.
Either way, stand your ground if you find yourself on the receiving end of 'Take that mask off" bullies. You don't owe anyone an explanation for wearing a mask, and you sure don't have to back down. Most of these cowards just yell stuff and run off anyway
My other neighbor just said she was at the local grocery store and saw a police car. The cop was leaning against his patrol car and looking around the lot. She asked what was happening, and he said they've had numerous calls about people being 'physically and verbally harassed' in the parking lot yesterday and this morning.

@dancinyogi I’ve tried not to focus on it , but an actor named Will Keenan was attacked from behind, somewhere on the Jersey shore, and hit with such force that he lost sight in one eye. This was 9/3. His family believes the assault was because he was wearing a mask. As we’ve been traveling and trying to stay well (and our kid just got COVID at work), being a little extra aware of the people around.
@cjonthehudson I am usually on the receiving end of aggressive people around here. Outside of here, it's usually fine. I think these are the same people who show up outside polling locations and harass the voters from across the street.
