I have just discovered that it's now possible to pay for a private #Covid19 booster jab in the UK, so I guess I could have a spring booster if I want one.
This paper suggests a second annual booster is beneficial at a population level for the 50-64 age group (which includes me), but what I'd really like to know is the benefit at the individual level.
Anyone got any links to research that might help quantify that?
I don't, but I will mention that it's worth checking which particular vaccine is being offered (the one offered to all eligible groups on the NHS last Autumn was pretty old & didn't cover recent variants, for instance)
I expect if you're paying it'll be recent, but ...
@botvolution I just checked which one I got last autumn: Comirnaty Original/Omicron BA.4-5
That doesn't sound like the most up-to-date one.
Thanks for the tip!
