@Aphelion - this suggests the "cutting" is fatal. I suppose usually, it is. Cut the power, the light goes out. But such a light does not usually bleed. With this metaphor, this becomes the observable dying of whatever you have found as a light. That you see yourself as fit only for its epitaph. Maybe not even that. An anonymous end.
There seems a hopelessness to this. I am uncertain whether you are instructing another to "cut the light" - inviting a rejection, on the face of it - or saying that you are cutting it, and so being the one rejecting. Either way, the sense is almost that you see it as inevitable.
If either is a correct interpretation, I am sorry you are feeling such emotions.
