I started troubleshooting our mesh network and within a minute or two realized that the Starlink router had rebooted to apply an update. Everything came back to life within another minute or two, with a total downtime of maybe 5 minutes.</p><p>I started thinking of the <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/FAA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FAA</span></a> relying on Starlink terminals, at the direction of Elon Musk and DOGE. I wonder how that would go at Reagan International Airport, if their Starlink router decides to reboot during a high traffic cycle. Five minutes is a long, long time....</p>
