Been working on this character for days based on “Ang Nuno,” a figure in the mythical origins of Angono where I’ve started a family and lived for a couple years. In some tales, he’s an old wise man also typically depicted as a supernatural being.
This design is specifically for a T-shirt. Angono declares itself the #art capital of the #Philippines but weirdly enough, I’ve done so little art since I moved here. In a way, this is me giving back to this place I’ve made my home.
Made some progress with the T-shirt design. I think I finally got a good composition that works with this character and the theme. Taking it slowly and not rushing with doing the actual sketching and inking was the right decision. I think I'm finally ready to begin the actual drawing.
