If you haven't yet, watch Netflix's movie "Come Sunday" - a biopic of Bishop Carlton D. Pearson that spans from 1996 to 2004 - a story that illustrates how faith isn't as immutable as what many preachers would have you believe, but is something that is always evolving.

The film ends with Pearson's meeting the Rev. Yvette Flunders (in reality they met at a conference but in the movie it looks like at her church City of Refuge UCC).

Since then Pearson became a pastor of New Dimensions Worship Center UCC, which eventually merged with All Souls Unitarian Church, when he left for Chicago.

In Chicago, he spent two years as interim minister of Christ Universal Temple (UFBL - founded by Johnnie Colemon, spin off of Unity).
