Discovering Elizabeth Magill's work this weekend, and it's sending strange notes through my heartbones.

It's been a long time since I added some video game photography to my gallery site, but here are a few shots taken and processed from "The Trolley", a short game exploring the decline of the American Rust Belt:
Trying to devise some sort of basic storyline and I am getting the fear. Fear of getting it wrong? Of not doing a good job? I don't k ow, but my rational mind says I need to get it right. First time.
My rational mind is wrong. I can edit. I can sleep on it. Something in me still doesn't get the process of revising my own work, after all this time.
Eurovision support for Ukraine not just symbolic; will literally save Ukrainian lives as Kalush Orchestra auctions trophy for $900,000.
“The funds raised will be used to purchase for the armed forces the PD-2 unmanned aerial system, which includes three aircraft and a ground control station, Prytula said at the auction.”
Modding Fridays is an online community of people interested to learn together about the maintenance, repurposing, and reappropriation of supposedly obsolete consumer electronics, for fun and profit. We see our interest as part of a broader conversation on post-digital culture, #permacomputing and repair culture.

Today is the last conference day of Building a European Cultural Backbone.
https://cba.fro.at/building-a-european-cultural-backbone
Consider joining the livestream.
Consider mentioning the #fediverse and #ActivityPub in the matrix chat like I did the past week to draw attention to what we do here.
https://matrix.to/#/#ecb:freie-radios.de
The fediverse is unrepresented while there's a lot of movement on building the future European Platforms.
Help avoid our 'Tragedy of the Commons' and raise fedi's collective voice, spread the love.
As usual, Wikipedia spoils all my mystery. This time: A 1,800 year old pot from Baghdad probably wasn't a very early battery. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baghdad_Battery
Probably time for a re-#introduction...
OK, I have no idea who I am or what I'm doing.
Some kind of intersection between software engineer and the effects of technology. Between data and privacy. Taoism and haiku. Symbolism and surrealism. Parenting and future generations. Photography and narratives.
Always up for chats and interesting paid work (esp fixing up PHP sites, environmental metrics and strategy, and tech team comms).
Never up for hate.
