Not seeing much social coverage of China expanding coal production by 100m tonnes. A HUNDRED MILLION TONNES, to keep things rolling.

It's primarily because due to the conflict with Australia, its main source of high quality coal, China now has to ramp up inland extraction quickly. Which is a doubly whammy as the coal in China (mostly from Inner Mongolia in the north east) is of poor quality, thus burning in electricity production with a lot of toxic emissions. But still these increase will not come in time to smoothen the many blackouts China faces for some weeks now.
