I just returned from praying in the Presence of the Blessed Scrament in the chapel of a nearby retreat house. The house is closed due to the coronavirus, but I was allowed to pray in the garden outside the chapel where the tabernacle is visible through the windows. #Catholic
@Alisca □ is not ♥ ;)
@anondjdan Awesome set! All of these originals deserve more fame. Interesting how some of the covers are very original approaches to the music.
@dankwraith FORTRAN is alpha and omega
@goat Sourdough is its own justification.
Vittorio Messori: The sight of St. Peter’s Square closed off was “terrible to see” and gave the “widespread” impression of a Church “barricaded inside,” saying “deal with it yourselves; we are just trying to save our own skin.’”

@readsteven That's a good plan!
One of the most bonkers things I’ve stumbled across. Rockwell International’s “Integrated Space Plan” from 1989, starts with the Space Shuttle and ends with interstellar flight. (By now we were supposed to be mining the moons of Mars.)
@cy Everyone needs a hat.
@snowdusk_ "... yesterdie." I'll bet his passing was happy.
@snowdusk_ As the Aussie said, "To-die is a good die to die, Mite!"
@anondjdan Can't listen now, but this is a show I wish would be archived.

Stack Overflow have announced, to great fanfare, the launch of a "dark mode" interface, after apparently years of popular demand. It is a massive design flaw and failure of the web that this is something which a website provider has to agree to and work to provide to its users, and not something users can simply configure themselves easily and without the site provider's knowledge or consent via a browser which empowers the user to decide how textual content is displayed.
I'm redoing my org-mode to PDF setup, and its working great and predictably. I've used the new setup for an assignment which came out well. Now doing the second, I only checked the PDF output twice for a 6/7 page long report.
I'm using Zotero + Org mode, and instead of org-ref, which is huge + depends on helm & hydra which I don't want, I'm writing some org-mode macros that expand to relevant LaTeX.
Gotta write a blog about this sometime soon.
