Hi everyone. Not new to SDF, but new to Mastadon and still figuring out how this works. I'm a fan of , , , , and some other stuff. Hope to meet some cool people!

@TheGiant Thanks for the warm welcome!

@andrawatkins Hello and thanks for the boost! My current favorite is Sugarloaf trail up in the White Mountain range. It's a relatively simple day hike with amazing views, probably a 180-270 degree field of view at each of the two peaks.

Do you hike yourself?

@paladin1 Yes. As often as I can being a flat lander. I’ve climbed Mount Mansfield in Vermont but haven’t done any hiking in the White Mountains. Another one for my list.

@jeffcliff I'm about 9k on OGS. Do you play?

@paladin1 I do on dragongoserver.net sometimes. No official rating but I'd need a ~17 point handicap on you if we were to play.

@paladin1 that said I probably taught ~100 children to play baduk over the past 2 years.

@paladin1 (though I got the counting rules slightly wrong...oh well, if they actually ever find someone to play with, they'll figure it out)

@paladin1 ( I don't think anyone in 500 km in any direction plays )

@jeffcliff Yeah it's a pretty obscure game in my part of the world (NE US). I have a board but only ever played about 3 games in person.

I wish there were more local players, but it has been nice playing correspondence games online. Fits in easier with my schedule!

@jeffcliff Pretty cool about teaching kids. How did you get that started?

@paladin1 I taught computer programming/robotics science camps for 5-12s - I found it helped awaken the minds of my students to logical, procedural and strategic thinking.

@willtochaos Greetings to you too. I figured you might be a player based on your background image.

Do you play online or in person?
