@cosullivan Excellent! Enjoy the show. Interview with Ricardo Lemvo next week!

Are there any #git repo hosting solutions that don't require an account to contribute?

I'm envisioning something that lets contributors email `git format-patch` patches to john@git.example.org via `git send-email`. The service makes this "pull request" show up in the web interface. If @/john approves, the patch will be applied with `git am` or `git apply`.

boost this to notify your music lover friends. i'll do live tambur playing at 1700 utc, i.e., the next openmic.

the musical mode we are interested in, in this session is "segah". i'll be giving two links explaining the mode:

- islamansiklopedisi.org.tr/sega that one is a turkish encyclopedia. nevertheless figures might help you understand the mode a bit.

- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigah the wikipedia page for the mode.

looks like XMPP is taking off!

i was shared this image in one of my favourite XMPP MUCs (:

i have recently discovered bluegrass music, and i *loved* it. decent amount of improvisation, rich on melodies, the rhythm... all great.

one thing i've noticed is the /festivals/. they look so authentic. if i ever go to usa, attending to a bluegrass festival will definitely be something i'll look for.

i'm curious: have you ever went to such a festival? how was it? share with me!

with the reflections of the sdf user hisacro, i have arrived at the conclusion that ferahfeza chronicles should start to lay a foundation on turkish classical music theory.

in this regard, i will be reading one of the most valuable books on the subject: "makam: modal practice in turkish art music" by karl l. signell. you should definitely attend to this episode of ferahfeza chronicles. please boost this toot!
