Good Morning spent the morning at the a Doctors Surgery pulling teeth now

@tpheine o> that was moving offices day at work. It turned into a long day, but we got critical systems up first, so once we got the big displays up we put Cricinfo on the the third one so we could follow the Ashes test :)

So did I say the weather was good today, well perhaps till 15:00 anyway just had a massive thunderstorm with some impressive fork lightning.

Good Morning waiting for the District Nurse then hopefully get out and enjoy this lovely day.

@ollyclarkdotorg Oh god yeah, GMB is so 'reality TV' its untrue. I'm not a fan if truth be told but its the 20 - 30 minutes BBC devotes to sport that really annoys me given the news rotates every 30 minutes which leaves 15 - 20 minutes for something that will hopefully be interesting.

It's a Tern folding bike. I replaced the shifting system with a Rohloff. Now it makes a pretty neat touring bike you can also take on a train if you don't feel like riding anymore (which we will do tomorrow).

I also had to have my leg wrapped every other day, something which I’m still having done now. However I no longer have to visit the hospital and am now on oral antibiotics. So there is two months which has pretty turned my life on it’s head. After I was moved out of the high dependency ward I was put on a stroke ward which gave me a wake up call and made me realise if I carry on with my lifestyle I might well end up there quite soon. So tall and the short of it is some big changes to come.

So didn’t want to say anything earlier when I heard @dick_turpin ‘s bad news. Some of you maybe wondering why I’ve been quiet over the last few months. I was hospitalised shortly after my birthday with Septicaemia which was caused by Cellulitis in my right leg. I was in hospital for five weeks on loads of different drugs until I was well enough to go home. But then I had to go back to the hospital everyday for another week and half of IV fluids (Cont)

Fedup of thr Flu now, going to try and get out today hopefully the fresh air will do me good.

Just had a notification of a delivery I'm expecting, trouble is it's been given to Hermes, might aswell have chuck my parcel in the bin.

So I've pretty much dropped off the social media space for the second half of last year, I have to say I didn't miss staring into the cesspool that is Facebook and Twitter and my mental health benefitted hugely for it. Now we are starting a new year I've decided to ditch both Twitter and Facebook and with Google + being pulled in August that just leaves the Federation so I'm embracing it fully this year.

being able to do a zfs rollback on your firewall is nice when an update brakes things

So it would appear I've lost my Jedi Skills!! New external Samsung SSD ordered, nothing important on the drive, most of which I can get back from backups elsewere and the rest is probably stuff I could have cleared off ages ago.

So tried to resurrect an external HDD this afternoon. I dropped it from waist height to carpet. When I plugged it into the laptop I was greeted with the bleep sound of the read arm motor initialising and not being able to reset the arm position. I thought read arm is stuck just needs moving. When I plugged it back in after removing the case & moving arm back to the edge of the platter. The arm did move & the drive span up however it just seeked for 5mins. & went into power save not mounting.
