My first real backup device was a 250MB so called streamer: a tape drive. It replaced my 5.25" exchangeable HDD drive, that I build in internally instead. I had approximately 20 tapes with backups and the worst thing of backups was, they backed up viruses as well πŸ˜‚ What did you use for your backups?

@tpheine I known I'm late in responding to this but I like taking a trip down memory lane once in a while, especially when it comes to computer hardware. My first ever backup drive was a Iomega 250Mb Zip Plus Drive

It's never too late to share memories 😊 I know these ZIP drives very well but I never used one myself. Somehow my tape drive did the job so I had to need to replace it. Thanks for sharing this memory with me 😊
