Went ahead and added the EOMA-pass-through-card from this open hardware project to my existing pre-order. tx0.org/dy

As I think I might switch to Maru OS as my daily driver on my phone here soon. And that is a sort of potential synergy there. www.maruos.com

@satchmoz first time hearing about maruOS, but I see it installed on both the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7 2013 Wifi.

I have both of those! I kept the N5 to deposit checks, and the N7 is collecting dust somewhere.

Nexus hardware attracted a lot of attention from alt mobile distros...

@maiki maruOS is still rough around some edges but its worth playing with. Im on the fence as to if I really need a Debian desktop in my phone, but its cool as all heck.

I keep a Nexus 5 in a cupboard specifically for playing with alt mobile distros. Though I am thinking about switching to it full time with either Maru or Lineage for the time being. I regret the highly proprietary phone with poor LineageOS support I currently saddled myself with.

@satchmoz I had to replace my Nexus 5 because I use awesome headphones (Sony MDR-7506), and the headphone jack ended up splitting the N5 case!

One thing I like about the is the case around the headphone jack is a solid piece of resin, and it has worked really well.

I thought my phones were dying, until NFC started failing as it was attached to the back and was separated, and it all made sense.

Aside from that, loved the N5. I even got the Red one, which is indiglo orange. ^_^
