Has anyone written about, or formed a view of the future, where 'we the public', live our digital social lives in privacy without being prey to too much corporate manipulation?

Things that come to mind:
# independant floss software systems/servers
# universal encryption
# a sensible way to fund free communications, and safe online social living

an attempt to collect everyone’s blogs - so as to not let precious non-commercial content go unread and unnoticed - is likely the only time i’ll ever ask:

- Stratfor
- Endace
- ASI Data Science
- SCL Group

This list is incomplete. Will update in the future (if they don't get me first. In that case, avenge me, fellas).

Me: oh fug. Left my SSD at home.
Also me: oh well thanks based MOSH

Trying to give my pops a mobile work set up like i do. I use it to boot into any monitor and remote into my phone, home, or anywhere else.

Except he has to use a special work version windows (intel compute does not run windows 10 education version)... He figured out how to run mdt lite touch on this here device that lacks PXE booting.

Super proud of my old man. Learning how to use new tech. 😃

Reading this morning:

- IPFS paper, which is *hugely* informative, and not just on IPFS:
- Re-reading the DIDs paper. Starting to appreciate its generality... it could be layered on top of either a DHT or blockchain; pretty flexible
