Things are still pretty crazy around here. A left her animals behind when she went back to school for the last few weeks of the semester, so we added a dog (who is only somewhat house trained) and 2 more cats. Just when I think things are beginning to calm down before the Christmas storm, it gets crazier instead. Well, if it at least gives her a few less things to worry about as the end of semester approaches, it will be worth it.
It is a particularly dark and dreary time in the salt mine as we prepare for another 2 week sprint. It always just feels like shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic as we approach a new sprint. Much noise, signifying virtually nothing. I do have some coding I need to do, so it will help. Heads down, music playing and coding happening is the way I like my days.
I started the Advent of Code (https://adventofcode.com) and actually got the first day done on the first day - yay! I am currently doing it in Julia (https://julialang.io) but I think I may move to Pony (https://ponylang.io), because it seems more general purpose with a real plan for threading. Another option is Zig (https://ziglang.org) but it seems a little too barebones. Let's see how it goes. Join my leaderboard with the code 335841-f28d1b57
