## Morning Mastodonians!

I always have the greatest desire to do something useful "after work", but it just never happens. Especially with it getting so dark so early these days, I hardly feel like doing anything besides slipping into some comfortable and going to bed. And when Tinker the cat crawls into my lap and curls up, it's all I can do to stay awake, never mind do anything. C is still in Hawaii, so no D:OS2 last night. I watched the Bruins but couldn't do anything else while it was on.

So I'm going to give the Advent of Code another try this year. I started to do it a bit last year, stopped doing, and then went back earlier this year to just try it out. I got all the way to day 10 (wow). I was doing it in D last year. Think I may try Julia or Pony this year. If you're into that sort of thing, join up in my private leaderboard. The code is 335841-f28d1b57.

So no Halo tonight either (see above) but maybe we can get together for some Rainbow Six: Siege, always the standby when all 4 of us can't make it. I hear there is Yet Another giant update, so I'll need to get it started later today. We also recently bought Zombie Army 4, which I am anxious to get started on. Maybe we can noodle around with that instead.

Deep in the pits of the salt mine there was another day of stumbling around in the dark, going to meetings and make plans. I did look at some code, so that's a bit of an improvement from Monday. Should be some nice projects coming down the line, so there may be a light at the end of the tunnel that isn't an oncoming train...

Stay safe. GET VACCINATED! GET BOOSTED! Watch your distance. Wear a mask. Wash your hands.

Someone out there is holding their breath hoping you will fail. Make sure they suffocate.
