We had a short session of D:OS2 on Tuesday, before the very excellent 1 game playoff against the hated Yankees. Nice battle. Then we had an epic evening on Wednesday with Halo 3:ODST. Most of the level was pretty easy but then we had to defend a plaza and it took us many tries to finish it. But I still think the "have to restart the checkpoint if anyone dies" option is brilliant. More games should do that (I'm looking at you, *Borderlands*).
Not much planned for the long weekend. The girls are both coming home and we are planning a big dinner out on Sunday evening with another family. That should be fun. The dumpster was finally taken away yesterday, so I will need to clean the garage. And probably other winterizing projects, like sealing the garage windows and putting away the deck furniture. I live a far too exciting life.
Life in the abyss that is the salt mine has been a real grind this week. Not sure why in particular. I haven't been sleeping well, which has a real deleterious effect on my work day. And far too many meetings, not enough quiet time with just me and my code. Gotta carve out some quality time in the hole today.
