## Morning Mastodonians!
Listen, if you get a chance, you have to watch *Retfærdighedens ryttere*. A Danish movie (aka *Riders of Justice*) starring the ever fantastic Mads Mikkelson, is a revenge movie, but by no means your average revenge movie. Full of humor, action and pathos, a really great way to spend 2 hours. Highly recommended! As is Ty Burr's email newsletter, *Watch List*, that turned me on to it.

Finished another book yesterday, the very depressing yet enlightening *No Good Men Among the Living: America, the Taliban, and the War through Afghan Eyes*. It ends in 2010, ironicallly enough as everyone was contemplating a US withdrawal(!), but still a must read for anyone interested in that foreign disaster (which we all should be). And I also recommend *Farewell Kabul: From Afghanistan to a More Dangerous World*. Sigh. We will never learn.
Just meeting after soul sucking meeting in the salt mine yesterday, and thus far today, although nothing is on the schedule for this afternoon, which is a relief. I need to buckle down and get some planning and writing done, if I am ever going to make any progress.
