Under actions, Committee for Women’s Concerns calls on to speak out against Trump policy on persons in the military. GA action 11-12 specifically states “The assembly affirms the church’s obligation to stand for the right of people of all gender identities to live free from discrimination, violence and every form of injustice.”

This not without problems for me. If we are calling for their right to live without violence, why are we insisting they be allowed to participate in military violence? Is this simply a matter of self determination? Not easy.
