@claudiom I was considering last week to try out OpenBSD 6.8, after trying out NixOS in a VM before. And I remembered our conversation about using OpenBSD with LXQt or Lumina desktop. That was longer again then I thought (1.5 years!).

And now we're at OpenBSD 6.9! Oh my gosh! It might be predestined! πŸ¦ΎπŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ€

@RyuKurisu Hah! That was a long time ago, wasn't it? πŸ˜…

I'd definitely try 6.9 if you're interested. Lots of goodies in this release, especially in ports. 🐑 πŸ‘

@claudiom do you know if there is an *BSD equivalent to monitor-sensor? It is a tool I use to monitor the state of the orientation sensor, to rotate my screen accordingly πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ€

@claudiom hmm, I can't even seem to boot up #OpenBSD on #VirtualBox
Should I try other virtualization options like Virtman or GNOME Boxes, or am I just doing something wrong?

My laptop has EFI so I enabled that in the options, but even disabling that won't work? πŸ€”

@RyuKurisu This might be a little dated and it's on macOS, but it should still apply for the most part. Might want to stick with legacy BIOS for the VM if you can.

@claudiom @solene does that article go into QEMU and virt-manager? πŸ€”
I didn't grog that when glancing over it, but that could be just me.

@hucste you grogged that I'm trying to boot OpenBSD in a Virtual Machine?

@RyuKurisu @claudiom @solene
yesss, and it's the reason of my yesterday first message about qemu and virt-manager (on Linux, of course).

@RyuKurisu @claudiom @solene

If you want my bash script to create VM with qemu+virt-manager, I can share you.
