This is part of the original (abandoned) soundtrack to Johnny Mnemonic. Black Rain is Stuart Argabright, Shinichi Shimokawa, and others. (I'd have to pull my disc out to check). Released on Fifth Colvmn in 1995, this is as #cyberpunk as you can get. #ambient , #industrial , #techno . Proper. Some of this soundtrack was re released by Blackest Ever Black in 2012.
I often wonder what Johnny Mnemonic would be like if it fit this soundtrack.
