I had an interesting talk with a friend of mine. She's a journalist doing a report on women in the workforce. She and I were talking about inequality, and I brought up that while the inequality is the lion's share of the problem, there is also a stigma women have about working in some jobs, and for some reason IT is one of them, even though they are just as capable at it. Thankfully I think that stigma is fading, but I wonder what started it in the first place. I know from experience it exists.
