I need to get a new DECT phone for next year's congress. This one's totally busted.

NOC: "Use more bandwidth"
Congresspeople: *blast the LAN with pixelflut abuse*

GDPR kinda covers that. You can only collect user information for certain defined reasons and your product must work even if user disallows collection unless that data is required for function.

Hi Congress Critters, I'm on the #c3noc team helping to build your network for #36c3.

Hope it works well for you, and hope you enjoy it!

During the event I should be oot and aboot to socialize and enjoy the fruits of my labours, likely in the BSD Assembly around Chaos West.

@Clifford Yea I don't feel like I'm on the same frequency as people who complain that some language doesn't have its own package manager. You do know my OS already has one, right? Use that.

@vandys That's fine. It's more of a self-imposed restriction and I don't really mind when other people self-boost.

@aag @phessler Last time I got my hands on one was when I made one myself. Maybe a local hacklab has D-sub connectors you can solder to a regular CAT5?

If I didn't mildly disapprove of self-boosting, I'd boost some of the ones I like the most.

Anyone else occasionally go through your notifications as a "greatest hits" of your own toots?

@climagic I guess this is as good a time as any to plug my favourite man page: NetBSD's rnd(4)

Check it out, I think you'll like it

@pamela I think there's a joke here about type coercion in C but I can't quite dereference what it is.

@sir Next you're gonna ask how to invalidate cache, aren't you?

I'd call it MGQXT. It doesn't stand for anything but I like those letters and it's easy to search.
