Today, we installed #FreedomBox on Olimex's LIME2 single-board computer.

Here's what it looks like without a case! This single-board is a fully functional computer which we made into a private server.

The LIME2 board is Open Source Hardware. Learn more: olimex.com/wiki/A20-OLinuXino-

One of my friends, a fellow #foss and #linux enthusiast, is looking for a room/ small apartment in #Berlin. For a family of three (he has an infant) . Can someone #help ?

Found the introductory blog post about ethical OS. And it's not a computer operating system. It's a decision-making framework for ethics in technology.

You can fit so many instances in this bad boy.

@fdroidorg PS: For those who wait for the 404 – app not (yet) found. As you can recommend apps for the official @fdroidorg repo via gitlab.com/fdroid/rfp/issues – you can do the same for my repo via gitlab.com/IzzyOnDroid/repo (the README there gives details).

"[Social media platforms] are advertising businesses first and foremost...Consumers are the product. Advertisers are the customer"

Social media growth is stagnating. Are users fed up? Are users ready for #PrivacyByDefault?
...Or, dare we say, #FreedomBox?

GPG Sync 0.2 is released! It's an open source tool to make it easier for every member of an organization to have up-to-date versions of every other members' PGP public keys.

This version looks way nicer, is more stable, and now has support for Windows.

Worker cooperatives are more than just sharing profits equally. Once again a capitalist(profit first) media doesn't understand the core of a cooperative. It is about making decisions together. When you include decisions from a broad range of people, you actually create an ecosystem where everyone thrives.

The world needs more people conscious about technology, politics and economics around tech. I am part of a Free Software community where I live but we are too dependent on self motivated individuals to get the thing going.

I think we can concur that self motivation is a trait achieved through periods of suffering / pain but how to motivate people into thinking about the hard things?

"What #OpenStreetMap can be"
This is a great write up from long time #OSM contributor (@richardf) about what makes OSM unique and how it can move forward (vector tiles! 👍🏻🙂)

#Privacy policies are not only long, they're downright confusing - too much legalese, techspeak, and language unintelligible to non-native speakers (or "the average user"). Projects like Pribot's Polisis and ToS;DR are promising: pribot.org/polisis/ and tosdr.org
