Got my 1TB m.2 SSD for my x1 Carbon. Because I have not done a good job of setting up backups on this laptop yet, I'm manually coping all my files to an external drive so I can restore when I swap out the SSD.
@art Take a look at "RSync Backup" https://github.com/SebKuzminsky/rsync-push-backup – saves you from catching up manually with the copy process: shell, cron, and every hour an RSync backup – whether locally to another disk or remote to another machine. Accidentally deleted a file? Ooops. When? Check the corresponding hardlink. Configure to your liking what is kept, e.g. 24 hourly backups, 7 daily, 4 weekly and 12 monthly sounds fine. The farther back, the less granularity is needed.
