Are you gapps free? Only Firefox isn't in F-Droid, the rest came with LineageOS or can be installed from it. QKSMS if I'm not mistaken? 🙂

I'm using https://github.com/yeriomin/YalpStore to pull apps from Google. Firefox, Moviepass, Slack, and a few other proprietary apps.

Have you tried WhatsApp? That's my biggest need for Gapps. The YouTube app for casting would also be nice.
@RyuKurisu Haven't used Whatsapp because I try to limit my Facebook footprint. YouTube is also a no go.

Unless WhatsApp becomes unavailable/unusable I won't be able to convince my family and friends to use something else. Be it Telegram/Signal/Silence/Wire
And I usually watch YouTube only through NewPipe, which allows you to watch videos and subscribe to channels without a Google account.

So this is one of those things that is a conundrum. From my view there is no difference between them refusing to use a different messenger and you refusing to use the messenger they're using.
Say you just take the hard line and say if you want to message me you need to get on wire, signal etc... That's the same thing they are doing to you already.

I have almost all my entire family on wire now because I refuse to be on Facebook. It probably helps that I send cute photos of my son to lure them in 😃.
