Upgraded my TRS80. Mainboard is a ASROCK 960GC-GS FX. Keeps support for a 5.25 Floppy drive if I ever put it back in.
@adamd That is awesome.
@adamd The soldering iron stand in the background doubles the coolness.
@adamd Or, is that a stand?
@xmanmonk Its a soldering 'station' I think you would call it. If I put two solder stations in the picture will it quadruple the coolness?
@adamd Oh hell yeah! Wait... I think I have to sit down. I'm getting very excited.
@adamd Looks like an old modem on top left?
@sikkdays Yup. A modem on the top left. When the picture was taken, a couple years ago. I was using my analog land line and dialing into dialup4less, just for the fun of it. Screen shoes the KDE Modem tool also.
@adamd just came across this render the other day and it made me want to build one.
@JoshuaACNewman I found a TRS80 case only on ebay. Then I didn't have to worry about throwing away the original parts. It was a fun project.
@adamd that looks awesome.
@Erin Thanks! It was a lot of fun to build. Bought an empty case off ebay and took my time building and finding just the correct components.
@adamd that is slick af
