sudo flaw lets Linux users run commands as root even when they're restricted:
Also the super clever username they chose for this game was "nigg" #Classy 🙄
Get an email a month ago where someone signed up with my email address to a browser/mobile game.
They weren't able to verify the email so I didn't worry about it. I didn't bother to contact the company to delete the account until today.
Evidently they were actually able to play up until this point because I immediately got 3 requests by someone in turkey attempting to recover my account.
My passphrase is like 30 characters long plus I have 2fa enabled.
Bye now. Good luck starting over.
This is my wishlist, updated with some things that'd aid me regarding my mobility issues: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/26OM415O8PB9K
If you're ever feeling like you wanna help me back/again or something, this would be a nice place to start.
Please and thank you!
Update on the wheelchair:
Soooo... PayPal didn't like that I have many generous friends here on fedi and temporarily blocked my access to it. I can't withdraw, pay, return, etc.
This means that I didn't have the chance to get my wheelchair yet.
I'm trying to verify the account, along with my live-in partner, because it's in their name, but it's tough:
Every time they ask for a residence proof they only accept stuff that's in my name, not theirs, OR costs money to get (like, I just found out that we have to pay for an official bank statement with your name, address and account number now), or a salary receipt with name and address that's not older than 12months... Their work doesn't give them receipts detailed like that anymore! Grrrrr!
At this moment in the process, I'm very tempted to just wait the 6 months that I found out that we have to wait in order to withdraw the money (and only withdraw, I think) and forget PayPal.
Because this has been really taxing, I don't have many spoons lately to find an alternative that works with Europe and international donations, so unless you'd ever want to get me some helps thru funds via Western Union, I'm going to try to use my Amazon wishlist for other stuff that's needed although I was really trying to give up because... Well, Amazon! Ugh.
Oh, yeah! Not everything is bad news!
I told some friends about this shitty situation and they offered themselves to cover the costs of the wheelchair, so I'm still going to get it soon!
And, if all else fails, in six months I'll have some money for my physio and meds, thanks to you, my dear caring friends!
@sandhexe welcome to the fediverse! 🙋♂️
Just re-upping this offer: because being comfortable with git is a barrier to entry to many FS/OSS projects, and because I care deeply about lowering those barriers, I will tutor anyone who asks for help with git, and/or connect them with any mentor(s) they might prefer.
I'll do this while I put energy and work into making the tool more approachable, and into making better tools and learning paths.
Boosts gratefully appreciated.
