I've seen production code for 30 years.
No one is too stupid. There are already people too stupid working on the stuff, making decisions.
That said: I suggest logic as a good way to both prepare for working on things, and dealing with people. Especially the ones who don't care, and make decisions that don't help anyone.
And the ones that make decisions that only help themselves.
Of course, I also suggest finding a way of dealing with the stress of everything. Preferably before you spend 30 years realizing that holy shit, there are some stupid people writing code and shoving it into production.
